Recognized Sponsor and Payrolling Service

An individual / person who comes to the Netherlands under the national highly skilled migrant scheme cannot independently submit the application for residency. Only companies recognised by the IND can submit such an application. The IND calls these types of companies ‘recognised sponsors’ which has access to an accelerated application process for highly skilled migrants. Beyond Consultancy is the company of choice because of the following reasons:

1

Recognized Sponsor

The Dutch government agency Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) has granted Beyond Consultancy recognized sponsorship and listed on the Public Register. As a recognized sponsor and payrolling company Beyond Consultancy can apply for residence permits in order to move your team to the Netherlands under the scheme and status of a (national) highly skilled migrant.

2

Certified Company

Beyond Consultancy is a payrolling company that is (SNA) certified according to the standards of the Dutch Labor Standards Foundation provided by accredited inspection bodies and registered on the Labor Standards Register.

3

Quick and Reliable

The national highly skilled migrant scheme is preferred and used the most because of the advantages. Due to recognized sponsorship Beyond Consultancy has access to an accelerated application process. The IND tries to decide on an application between 2 to 7 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below you can find answers to relevant questions regarding business immigration processes, requirements and documents to help you make informed decisions.

A recognized IND sponsor is an organization approved by the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) to sponsor highly skilled migrants, ensuring compliance with Dutch laws and regulations. As a recognized sponsor, we act as your official and formal employer, handling your payroll and lending you to the company where you’ll work, while ensuring all processes align with Dutch immigration and employment requirements.

Yes, your spouse and children can join you in the Netherlands and enjoy full access to social benefits, education, and work opportunities.

No, Dutch is not required. English proficiency is usually sufficient, as the Netherlands has a high level of English fluency.

After three years under the payroll system as a Highly Skilled Migrant, you can apply for a residence permit that allows you to work without needing a recognized IND sponsor. This new permit also enables you to work with greater flexibility and eliminates the requirement to meet the salary thresholds applicable under the HSM program.

If you choose to change jobs during your initial three-year period, your new employer must be a recognized IND sponsor, and the position must meet the IND’s salary thresholds for highly skilled migrants. However, changing employers will restart the three-year mandatory employment period with the new sponsor. This means you will need to complete a new three-year period before becoming eligible to apply for the residence permit that allows work without a sponsor.

After three years under the Highly Skilled Migrant program, your residence permit transitions to one that allows you to work for any employer in the Netherlands without needing a recognized IND sponsor or meeting salary thresholds. After completing a total of five years of continuous residence, you have the following options:

  1. Apply for Permanent Residency: You can apply for a permanent residence permit, which allows you to stay and work in the Netherlands without requiring a sponsor or meeting salary thresholds. This requires A2-level Dutch language proficiency and fulfilling the integration requirements.
  2. Apply for Dutch Citizenship: If you meet the requirements, including five years of residence, passing the B1-level Dutch language test, and meeting integration standards, you can apply for Dutch citizenship. This grants you a Dutch passport and full EU rights, such as the ability to live and work in other EU countries.
  3. Continue with Your Current Residence Permit: If you do not learn Dutch, you can extend your existing residence permit for another five years. This option does not require Dutch language proficiency but does require maintaining employment and meeting the minimum salary thresholds set by the IND.

The MVV (Provisional Residence Permit) is a visa required for most non-EU citizens moving to the Netherlands as the first step in obtaining a residence permit. Once the IND approves your application, the MVV visa is typically issued within 2-3 weeks at the Dutch consulate in your home country.

Yes, your spouse can work in the Netherlands without needing a separate work permit as long as your Highly Skilled Migrant permit is valid. There are no restrictions on the type of work your spouse can do, allowing them to work in any field under Dutch labor laws. Additionally, your spouse can establish their own company and operate a business in the Netherlands, providing even more flexibility for professional opportunities.

If your employment contract ends while you are under the Highly Skilled Migrant (HSM) program, you are granted a three-month grace period to find a new employer who is recognized as an IND sponsor. During this time, you can remain in the Netherlands legally while you search for a new job. However, the new employer must also be an IND-recognized sponsor, and the new job must meet the IND’s salary thresholds for highly skilled migrants to maintain your eligibility.

If you cannot secure a new job within the three-month period, you will no longer meet the conditions of your residence permit. This may lead to your residence permit expiring, requiring you to leave the Netherlands. The residence permits of your family members, which are dependent on yours, may also expire if your permit is no longer valid. It is crucial to act promptly during this period to secure new employment and ensure compliance with IND regulations.

Yes, as a highly skilled migrant, you are eligible to apply for a Dutch mortgage as soon as you start working in the Netherlands. Many Dutch banks offer mortgage options for expatriates, and eligibility depends on your income and employment status. We can guide you through the process, helping you connect with mortgage advisors and prepare the necessary documents to secure your mortgage smoothly.

Yes, your children can attend Dutch schools, and primary and secondary education is free for all residents. Education is also mandatory for children in the Netherlands from the ages of 5 to 16, ensuring that they receive a comprehensive and high-quality education during this period.

As a resident permit holder, you can leave the Netherlands temporarily, but prolonged absences may affect your eligibility for permanent residency or citizenship.
